Form rendering issue in dialogs when using SPEasyForms

description

Hi

After activating the solution all existing and new list forms that are set to open in a dialog are not showing the entire form. You have to scroll down, even on forms that only have two single line text columns. See two examples in the attachment below. The form seems to be opening (in the dialog) in a fixed size regardless of the number of columns.

If I select not to open the form in the dialog the form renders fine. If I deactivate the solution the form also opens fine in the dialog.

Do you happen to know any way to force the dialog forms to open without having to scroll?

Installed SPEasyForms.2015.01.05
SharePoint 2013 on premise

Cheers

Hi Rob,

I have fixed this issue in 2015.01.06.

The problem was that to make the form load less jumpy, I hid the form until either I was done or I determine that there was nothing to do. I can't do this just on forms that are configured with SPEasyForms because at the time I need to do it there is no context, i.e. I don't know what list or even site I'm on because the SharePoint javascript is still getting loaded/initialized. Anyway, the solution is that I resize the dialog again after showing the form. It's not my favorite solution but it works.

Hi Rob,

SPEasyForms resizes dialogs after it implements it's configuration, otherwise as you move stuff around dialogs look pretty bad, but it shouldn't be doing anything if there is no configuration; clearly that's now working correctly. It shouldn't be hard to fix, but I'm a little under the weather at the moment, so I'm not sure when I can take a look at it. I let you know when I get a chance.

Can confirm all fixed with 2015.01.06.

Am looking forward to having a play around with SPEasyForms
